Modeled after the concept of the dedicated high-pass and low-pass filters typically found on each channel of high-end mixing consoles from SSL and Neve, bx_cleansweep Pro centers around a simple yet powerful hybrid high-pass and low-pass Butterworth filter that implements gentle curves (6 dB per octave) in order to achieve a musical and non-intrusive effect when zeroing-in on a sound’s intended character. The controls help you quickly and cleanly filter out the unwanted spectral information above and below the desired core character of a sound, to get you well on the way to an immaculate sounding mix – even before the addition of any further dynamics or EQ treatment.
bx_cleansweep Pro is the third incarnation of this beloved filter plugin, bringing back the joystick control found in the previous bx_cleansweep V2 that functions much like an X/Y pad to facilitate intuitive and direct movements towards a cleaner sound stage.
The bx_cleansweep design, like it’s bigger siblings bx_digital V3 and bx_hybrid V2, also features Anti-Crush technology. This analog model for filter curves prevents the harshness and aliasing found in many other EQs.
